I'm down to 19445 in spite of writing about 2000 new words. Yes, I went back and did some editing. This was because I had to go back and edit some of what I'd written in the last 'chapter.' This helped me get unstuck to continue to the next 'chapter.' Plus, the wc in the last post included text where I ran off at the mouth. Me, run off at the mouth? I know, it's shocking.

Very little new stuff written, but I had to go back and fix a few things that have been gnawing at my mind in order to go forward. I've been rewriting the same scene over and over. I finally put it aside. This morning, I wrote the climax. Then I had to clean up after myself. It'll need some rewriting, but it helped me get the scene solidified in my head.

Since I 'finished' the 'first draft' of the 'ghost story,' I've been taking a mini vacation to read and listen to fiction podcasts. When I start the rewrite tomorrow, I'll be taking a vacation from reading/listening entertaining things. (This scheme was inspired by Jeff DeRego's interview on SciFiDig...)
